Who knew a certain Lupin-biting werewolf named Fenrir Greyback would make it on one of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’s dozens of posters? And yet there he is, grinning behind Ron.
The other posters feature a design we haven’t exactly seen before, but in general, it’s same-old, same-old. Release the movie already.
Beware: there are a lot of Deathly Hallows spoilers in this post.
For the past week, the crew of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been filming at “Shell Cottage”, the home of Bill and Fleur Weasley. It’s where Ron went to stay after he left Harry and Hermione, and it’s also where Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Dean Thomas, Mr. Ollivander, and Griphook apparated to after their escape from Malfoy Manor — thanks to Dobby, who memorably dies in the process.
Plenty of spy pictures have been taken of the set, so I’ve collected a few of the clearer ones below. I didn’t find any featuring Dean, which makes me a little worried that they cut down his part. I like Dean. Anyway, check out the pics below and click on each one for a larger version:
Check out the new French poster for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince below. It’s basically a combination of previous character posters, but it does feature, arguably, the three characters most important to the plot: Harry, Malfoy, and Snape.

The latest round of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince character posters were released this week. That means yet another Harry and Dumbledore poster, but the Ginny & Ron and Malfoy & Snape posters are actually really cool. (With Ginny and Ron in particular, it’s nice to see Quidditch back in the movies.)

Warner Bros. has been pummeling us with Half-Blood Prince advertising for basically a full year since it was originally supposed to come out last November. If you’re little fatigued, how about we switch gears and start getting excited about Deathly Hallows instead?
Over forty photos of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson were taken while on set of a scene in Deathly Hallows Part 1 shooting on location in London’s West End. Given their outfits, the trio looked to be filming the scenes in which they’re on the run after Bill and Fleur’s wedding reception is broken up by an impending Death Eater attack.
I still have my doubts about whether Deathly Hallows Part 1 can make a great movie (considering it ends after half of the events of the book and therefore doesn’t have a proper climax), but these photos do the trick for me. It’s always cool to see a great story you imagined in your head start coming to life.

Completists can head over to The Bad & Ugly for the rest.
The latest in official Half-Blood Prince stills takes us inside the Great Hall. One is of Ginny, the other is of Harry talking with his longtime Quidditch teammate and pal Katie Bell.

There was that set of really dark character posters from earlier this week. And before that, there was that random character banner, and even before that, there were the Harry and Dumbledore character posters. Apparently Warner Bros. just wants to keep teasing us with posters of single characters and never give us the actual, final, official poster. That’s fine by me, because with today came six new character posters, of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Snape, and Malfoy.
To anyone who’s seen Watchmen — Malfoy looks totally like Adrian Veidt, right? He totally does.

The first installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows only recently started filming with returning director David Yates, but already a behind-the-scenes photo has popped up. Considering the first half of Deathly Hallows features a lot of “hiding in the woods” scenes, it’s perhaps not surprising that this photo is of Harry walking through a forest.
Check it out below, with a close-up underneath:

Considering how much of a little wuss he really is, I never thought Draco Malfoy could actually look so…intimidating. But he does in the below poster. We also get a clear shot at teenage Tom Riddle, and it’s striking how much they’ve made him look like the eight-year-old counterpart we’ve seen in the trailers.
As for the “good” characters, we get new shots of Harry, Hermione, and Ginny. It’s become a cliche to say that everybody seems to be growing up so nicely, but it’s especially pertinent given the romantic entanglements that come along in Half-Blood Prince.

…If these pictures for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince are any indication. It looks like one’s a new publicity still and one’s a shot in the movie itself:
