Harry’s Stunt Double Injured, Vows to Return to Work
Everyone on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows collectively held their breath on Wednesday, January 28th, when David Holmes (pictured left) — Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double — fell from a harness while rehearsing a flying scene and lost the feeling in his hands and feet.
Holmes, 25, is currently in the hospital recovering. While he still hadn’t regained sensation by Sunday, he did put out a statement: “David wants to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and wishes. And don’t worry… the stunt-runt will be back.”
His parents followed up with something slightly more formal: “We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We are trusting in the expertise of the medical staff who are caring for David.”
Get some rest and get well soon!
