In its first weekend in release, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix brought in an estimated $77.4 million, easily taking the top-spot from former leader Transformers.

Since its debut on Wednesday, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has earned an estimated $140 million for the five-day total.  Warner Bros. is predicting the film will earn $162 million in its first week, ranking it as the top Potter earner.

Analysts believe the film has gotten a bump from the anticipation of the final book which will be released on July 21st.
