Neville’s Most Anticipated Scene
Wed, Feb 4, 2009
Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom, was doing a fan-chat online at CastleWhiteFang when he was asked which scene he was most looking forward to playing in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which just started production. Fans who haven’t yet read the book might want to avert their eyes:
Deathly Hallows is going to be so much fun to shoot. I don’t have a script yet so I can’t be exactly sure how everything is going to work out. However, I think my answer will be a bit predictable! The scene I’m looking forward to the most is when Neville swings the sword and kills Nagini. That is going to be intense! In fact, the whole final battle sequence is going to be amazing. Still can’t believe they’re going to trust me with a sword though!
It’s a pretty all-over-the-place chat — Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans may or may not be interested to know that his favorite character was Xander — but it seems like the dude is having a good time. Neville plays an increasingly major (and increasingly cooler) role, especially in the second part of Deathly Hallows, so watching Lewis does with the character will be interesting.
