‘Half-Blood Prince’ Footage to Be Shown During the Oscars
Tue, Feb 17, 2009
The New York Times has confirmed that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be among the movies you’ll get to see exclusive footage from during the Oscar ceremony, this coming Sunday night on ABC.
Only problem is, they’re showing it at the end of the broadcast. Which can stretch anywhere from three to four hours. It’s part of a concentrated effort to boost ratings despite the absence of any major Dark Knight-style blockbuster in the big categories.
The other movies to show footage will include Terminator Salvation and Sherlock Holmes.
My suggestion? Space them out throughout the broadcast. After Best Picture is announced, anyone still watching is going to be so numb that they won’t care.
