Wait, what?
In the Harry Potter franchise, Helena Bonham Carter plays Bellatrix Lestrange, of course. But if you’ll remember, there’s a scene in Deathly Hallows — the one where they break into Gringotts — in which Hermione takes some polyjuice potion in order to transform into Bellatrix. Naturally, Emma Watson wouldn’t be filming those scenes — [...]
Last month we ran a story that featured a quote from director David Yates telling VideoBusiness.com that there’ll be a scene in Deathly Hallows in which Ron will see a Horcrux-induced “nightmarish vision” of Harry making out with Hermione while “bare.”
Additionally, La Vibra later ran a story in which Yates apparently told them, “there is [...]
That grab your attention? Good, because it’s actually true. From an interview between producer David Heyman and Video Business:
Yates and others also offered some surprising sneak peeks to the final two theatrical installments of the Harry Potter franchise, slated for 2010 and 2011 release. At certain points, Radcliffe will appear naked.
In one scene, “a horcrux [...]
The mess of Emma Watson College Conjecture that’s been going on for the past year or two definitely ended with a whimper, not a bang. As most reports indicated, done with filming on Deathly Hallows, she ended up going to Brown University. Yep, she’s now a Rhode Island Ivy-Leaguer.
From her official site:
I know, according to [...]
I always thought of butterbeer as some innocent, sweet-tasting, non-alcoholic drink that was provided for kids in lieu of actual alcohol. But I did notice, in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, that Hermione was very obviously tipsy on her way home from Hogsmeade. So maybe director David Yates and J.K. Rowling have differing opinions.
Combine [...]
The marketing blitz and raised awareness continues. Here are a few things happening in the Harry Potter world this week as the opening of Half-Blood Prince is now less than a week away:
The U.S. premiere is taking place this afternoon at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City;
Dan, Emma, and Rupert all grace the new [...]
The reviews have started pouring out for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and you’ll be happy to know they’re almost all positive. As I write this, it’s sitting at a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, with only one rotten review — and that one gave it 3 out of 5 stars, hardly a pan.
The general [...]
It’s another week, which means it’s time to post even more posters. Of the five new ones, two of them feature the Ron/Lavender/Hermione love triangle. Let’s hope the entire movie isn’t just Hermione being mad at Ron; I was more looking forward to the Harry/Ginny thing.
Oh, and Luna. I really can’t get enough of Luna. [...]
Ever since triumphantly announcing that they plan to milk Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for not one but two movies, Warner Bros. has been tight-lipped on one thing: where they’re going to split the story up. In other words, where Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I will end, and where Harry Potter [...]
Warner Bros. released four extra behind-the-scenes photos this week, plus a random close up of Hermione.
What’s that, you say? After six trailers, fourteen posters, and a couple of video featurettes, you’re not impressed with behind-the-scenes photos? Me neither. Just don’t tell Warner Bros. It’s exactly a month until Half-Blood Prince comes out, and they’re obviously [...]
